2026 – ongoing

My recent studio work centers on large-format paintings of the weeds growing across Berlin, bringing the history of botanical painting into conversation with contemporary urban ecology. Through The Secret History of Weeds, I consider how plant life, human histories, and the changing urban landscape are intertwined. This large scale work was exhibited at the Urban Utopia Conference, 2026. I combine botanical observation with nature printing from pressed herbarium specimens, drawing on visual traditions from botanical herbals to Sottobosco and Baroque flower painting.
